The examples above are identified as “Life Transitions”: a major shift in personal & social circumstance.
It can be internal, external, expected, unexpected, forced upon or chosen by you. Life transitions are inevitable and can affect individuals differently, but coping can make changes bearable.
There are two forms of coping: Adaptive & Maladaptive (Health vs unhealthy). Recognizing the distinction helps individuals make conscious choices to cope positively.
Through a proven-effective approach, you will learn to overcome the fear of adjustment through life transition. Author Dr. Elisabeth Kubler Ross, a renowned expert in Grief & Grieving, focuses on achieving independence, clarity, balance, happiness, and acceptance.

Grief does not only apply to a death of a loved one, but it is the experience after a significant loss in something or someone. Teen/ Young Adult Mediation & Coaching | Marriage & Family
Challenges are unique to the teen, as a parent you want to create a supportive environment to address their inner challenges and empower self-confidence. Parents contribute to the well-being and development of their teenagers, transforming into young adults.
As a family, we often develop family roles:
Assuming a role reflects the family dynamics and conflict within the family tree. Family hangovers are unpleasant signs of behaviors that develop and lead to generations of dysfunction. Breaking unhealthy habits and creating a positive family environment for the future generations.
A family is formed from two individuals with a shared vision, potentially resulting in marriage creating unity. As life transitions, time can cause individuals to divert from the foundation and purpose.
NOT reassessing the relationship can lead to unhealthy ways of dealing with your stress and emotional outbursts. Less communication, little to no intimacy, irritability, and different values develops a wedge within the Family.
Regrouping and completing a Body Mind Heat (BMH) scan to understand what is happening. How you react influences the reactions of the family. Understanding the primal needs of the marriage can guide the relationship between the family dynamics and environment.

Mental Health First Aid & Crisis Intervention
Youth / Adult mental health first aid offers help to a person experiencing a mental health challenge or mental health crisis. Using the action plan “ALGEE” helps me to decide if you are experiencing a crisis or non-crisis event. MHFA is given until appropriate help is received or until the crisis resolves. It is a vital link to intervention: seeing the changes in behavior, offering a nonjudgmental listening ear, and respecting the privacy of the youth & family. This is aimed to help minimize the feeling of distress and use effective steps to seek support. If you have specific questions or are interested in becoming a certified mental health first aid, please tell me!
